Clif Jack's record label, MJA the Vision presents a dynamic techno compilation featuring ten hard-hitting tracks by ax1om, Nico Cabeza, yofellas, Mintech, AM.I, Ilona Maras, Bry Ortega, Jil Tanner, Luca Morris, and there is also a track by Clif Jack.
MJA the Vision is an event series and record label, and this release showcases the full range of the techno styles covered by the brand, including acid techno, euphoric techno, mainstage techno, and hypnotic techno. Artists such as Nico Cabeza, yofellas, AM.I, Ilona Maras, and Luca Morris, have featured on previous MJA the Vision releases, while the others are making their debut on the imprint, and ax1om is a brand new artist making their first ever official release.
Luca Morris opens the compilation with a track called “Into the Groove,” which combines an uplifting breakdown with flickers of acid, captivating vocals, and a pulsating bassline. He is a veteran Italian artist known for his music on labels such as Monika Kruse's Terminal M, OFF Recordings, and T78's Autektone Records.
Jil Tanner is a German artist known for techno tracks on her own imprint K N KT and MOOD, but she has also released house music on the likes of Hottrax. Bry Ortega is a Brazilian artist who joins MJA the Vision following a recent track on Drumcode, and he combines cinematic vocals with epic pads and powerful percussion to deliver a driving cut titled, "The Sign."
Ilona Maras is a Montenegrin artist based in Switzerland where she plays DJ sets at many of Zürich’s best underground events. She has featured techno tracks on labels such as Filth on Acid and Riot Recordings. Her track "Sweet Surrender" has an electric bassline and murky vocals creating a hypnotic groove with bursts of melody.
Marking the mid-point of the compilation, Clif Jack takes centre stage with “Revolution the Evolution,” which is a stripped back track with euphoric synths and heavy percussion forming a framework for powerful vocals. It’s in the same exhilarating style he has featured on other leading labels such as Codex, Filth on Acid, Kuukou and Solamente.
AM.I is a Belgian artist who is back on MJA the Vision with a showstopping track that’s representative of the music she has released via TRAGEDIE and Set About. "Deep Trust" is a percussive track with a stripped-back groove focusing on dark atmospherics and a murky vocal.
Mintech is an accomplished techno producer from Italy who has already showcased his sound via respected imprints such as Tronic, Unity, and Reload. His track "Look to the Future" has a hammering kick drum and twisted vocals combined with intense atmosphere and an acid lead synth.
Italian duo, yofellas, have frequented MJA the Vision with their techno focused tracks. They are Grammy nominated producers who have turned their hand to making explosive techno after years of chart-topping success within the house scene. "Weakness" is a heavyweight track with eerie euphoria and potent percussion.
Nico Cabeza is an Italian artist based in Berlin, and he has been dominating the techno scene with music signed to labels including Terminal M, Respekt, VOLTA, Legend and Unrilis. "Composition Opposition" is a thickset track with hip hop style vocals and clattering synths delivering a hulking sound that’s perfect for the mainstage.
ax1om is a brand-new artist whose track "Thrive" closes the release with emotive pads and euphoric vocals that have muffled tones. It’s the perfect sunrise techno track, as it has uplifting emotion and intense energy.
