In zayith, Antonio Muñoz achieves a rare alchemy — he takes the disciplined framework of Deep Techno and infuses it with the living, breathing soul of ancient symbolism. Across ten original tracks released on Sendero Records, Muñoz’s sound is both architectural and organic: basslines form the foundation, intricate percussive accents are the structural beams, and atmospheric textures spill through like sunlight through leaves.

Inspired by the olive tree, or Zayith in Hebrew, the album is as much about sensation as it is about sound. You can almost feel the texture of bark in the grainy midrange, taste the salt of the Mediterranean in airy synth swells, and sense the weight of centuries in the slow, deliberate pacing. The sacred and the mechanical coexist here, each track revealing a new layer of depth as if unearthing an artifact from beneath the soil.

zayith is not just music to be heard — it’s an environment to inhabit, a ritual to participate in. For those willing to step inside, it offers a sonic experience that lingers long after the final note fades.
