Ukrainian producer and musician Seve Clain presents his new track "Oh on the mountain", which combines folk motifs with modern electronic genres. This work is a bold step in the direction of rethinking traditional music through the prism of modern sound.
"The idea of creating "Oi na gori" arose from the desire to convey a sense of the unity of the past and present." I wanted to combine our cultural heritage with electronic trends to show that even in the world of modern music it is important to remember your roots. I was inspired by our Carpathians, their unique atmosphere and strength," comments Seve Clain.
Seve Clain calls his new track "an energetic, atmospheric and melodic fusion". According to him, this is an attempt to show that music can unite different eras and cultures. "My music is a reflection of the Ukrainian soul, and I want listeners to feel the same emotional connection that I feel to this song."
"This folk song has been in my heart for a long time. Her melody and words have always had a strong emotional resonance, especially in the context of current events. I wanted to reinterpret it through the lens of electronic sound, adding elements of house, afro house and latino house to create a dynamic yet melodic track. This is a kind of bridge between generations, where traditions keep pace with time," explains the musician.
Separately, he emphasizes the importance of the development of Ukrainian electronic music: "Now, when national consciousness among young people is growing, it is an ideal time to raise Ukrainian culture to a new level. We have many talented musicians, and I believe that our music is capable of conquering the world's platforms.
Regarding his mission in modern Ukraine, Seve Clain adds: "A musician these days must not only entertain, but also support the nation through his creativity. My music aims not only to bring pleasure, but also to remind us of our shared values, unite people and support the spirit of the nation."
